The Right Jeans For Your Body Shape
Just about every woman owns a pair of denim jeans. The useful denim created originally for miners because of its durability has metamorphosed into a fashion icon. Jeans have a lot of uses, but for fashionable women, it is primarily used for comfort at the same time showing off those curves. This is why it can be really frustrating to shop for that perfect pair.
We all have our favorite pair of jeans, one that shows off our assets and yet gives us mobility. It is very flexible, you can be feminine by topping it with a white top or go sexy by wearing a pair of really nice black boots. However, finding a new pair with the right shape and cut may seem a bit overwhelming. There are many cuts of jeans to choose from and knowing what these are may help you in your quest for that perfect pair.
Skinny jeans are the latest trend, but not everyone can wear them. If you have not been endowed with a good derriere, then perhaps the body hugging fit of skinny jeans may not be flattering to your particular body shape. Skinny jeans are believed to be ideal for well-rounded body, not excepting your plus-sized women. Obviously, there is a prevalent bias against curvy women as compared with skinny super models. Nonetheless, the best way to choose is to try the many cuts and find one that really suits your particular body shape.
The boyfriend style is said to be suitable for all shapes and sizes. The baggy cut makes it appear like you borrowed it form your boyfriend, hence the term “boyfriend” style. They are loose so these are very comfy to wear. To add a feminine touch to it, you could wear ballet pumps or heels to match your pants.
However, if you have been blessed with really long legs, then skinny jeans will enhance them. You can dress up these jeans with really high heeled shoes like skyscraper heels especially for evening wear. For a more casual look, pumps or boots will do just fine. These jeans are body forming so if you are not prepared to reveal all those lumps and bumps, then a straight cut will do instead. These jeans stay close to the length of your legs, giving you a slim look, the only difference is they don’t taper in the ankle like skinny jeans. These are more practical for they remained to be trendy over the years.
Skinny jeans can come in various styles like your boot cut variation. The boot cut skinny jeans look like straight cut jeans but they are a great variation to the conventional skinny since these flare out at the ankle, creating a well-balanced look especially if you are a bit heavy on the hip side.
Previous season’s wide-legged and high-waisted jeans can still be used especially for summer wear. The wider waistband is great for hiding those bumps around the stomach area making your legs appear longer. These may no longer be fashionable, but if you have a pear-shaped body, then you can make do with this pair, just jazz it up with a nice top.
The low-waist jeans may not be advisable for persons with a full belly since the low waistband will just push it upward and make it bulge. A cut that is neither high nor low may just be the answer to your search. If you are on the heavy side, choose a darker colored jeans since this will make you look slimmer. Aside from the classic blue, you can also get a black, dark grey or navy blue, all of which will slim your thighs.
Along with the cut and color, there are also stonewashed or acid washed jeans. Celebrities occasionally wear them, but they are no longer as fashionable as they were in the previous season. If you have one in your wardrobe, do not throw them yet. Fashion can be as fickle as a woman and many trends in the past may suddenly make a comeback.
